Serena Williams A Faces Tough Test In Nadia Petrova

Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open this week has reached a Wednesday third round match versus the Russian 16th seeded Nadia
Petrova. That Serena is not playing her best this week, had a minor injury in the previous round and that clay is
her worst surface plus the face that Petrova can be tough all add up to a possible tough Wednesday for Serena.
Head to head Serena leads Petrova 6-2, but Williams lost their last encounter at Beijing last year 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(7-5). Williams is also
entered in the Madrid doubles competition with her sister Venus Williams. In other news, it appears that Venus will move up in the WTA Tour
rankings next week from 3 to 2 which will mark the first time in several years that the Williams sisters have been ranked 1 and 2.
