09.19.2007 NEW YORK-- World number one Justine Henin advanced to the US Open semi-finals on after beating two-time champion Serena Williams 7-6 (3), 6-1. Williams had a set point at 6-5 but the Belgium won the first set through a tie-break and then never looked back in route to a clash with American12th seed Venus Williams. Serena Williams has said she was injured during the match.

Serena Williams Plays Justine Henin Tuesday Night
09.03.2007 NEW YORK-- Serena Williams Tuesday night at 6:00pm CST USA takes on world number one Justine Henin of Belgium in the quarterfinals. Serena leads Justine head to head 6-5, but lost to her the last two times at the French Open and at Wimbledon. Even though Serena was injured in both of those matches, Justine will take some confidence from them. Justine has played cleaner tennis at the US Open. It's a tough call but I think Serena will keep the points short and serve and return bigger than Justine.

In this match, the chair umpire mistakely told Serena she could not read her notes on the changeovers. In round 4, Serena beat Wimbledon finalist Marian Bartoli(10) of France 6-3, 6-4 displaying her best tennis of the week.
